Choose between 10 days of intense study in stage combat & martial arts, an action packed weekend of fighting on film, OR BOTH! Opportunities to certify in 2 weapons disciplines with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and/or film reel content are provided.

About the event
Film Fighting Intensive (Jun. 20th-21st, 2026)
This two day workshop follows a similar schedule and will feature a "crash-course" in techniques used to fight on television and film. This includes application of the techniques to short filmed content for use in action and stunt reels.
The unique architectural and natural diversity of our host environment allows for us to film “on-location” and cheat the appearance of several different projects. In doing so, we can provide reel materials designed to highlight your individual skills that do not have the appearance of training videos. A great pairing for students who have just completed the combat intensive or for students who have previous martial arts/stunt/circus/stage combat experience who want to continue honing their skills.

Film Fighting Intensive
This weekend workshop held in Washington, CT will investigate explore the techniques used to fight on television and film. Both the Combat Certification Intensive (CCI) and Film Fighting Intensive (FFI) are hosted on the campus of the Frederick Gunn School in Washington, CT. Housing options include dormitory style rooms with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and window A/C unit. Linens are provided. Please select either single occupancy (live alone) housing or double occupancy (shared room) housing below. Please note all the rooms share communal bathrooms with individual stalls for both showers and toilets.

Dining
Both the Combat Certification Intensive (CCI) and Film Fighting Intensive (FFI) are hosted on the campus of the Frederick Gunn School in Washington, CT. There is an on campus dining hall that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Accommodations for various dietary restrictions and/or allergies are available.
