About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Being a working artist in New York City is a demanding prospect. Auditions, rehearsal schedules, survival jobs and making rent can all get in the way of your day to day life - not to mention continued training. It’s why we aspire to keep our training affordable and the experience about you, rather than us. We aim to provide you with training that mirrors its on-the-job counterpart. We want you to experience what it is like to be in the rehearsal room, creating alongside your fellow castmates and designers. Our approach is a reflection of who we are as artists, just as your experience of our class is affected by your own artistic makeup and goals. We are actors, singers, dancers, clowns, movement artists, martial artists, digital artists, photographers, cinematographers, directors, designers, athletes, technicians, musicians and most importantly; continual learners. Only we don’t thirst for knowledge. We fight for it.

Our Story
Rob and Tate met while performing in an outdoor drama in North Carolina. In 2013 they established and coordinated the first annual Tourist Trap Stage Combat Workshop in Orlando, Florida. By 2015, they were living in New York City where they identified a need for affordable training that took into account the busy schedule of young actors and working professionals actively engaging in the hustle. Seeking to provide an alternative to more rigid and less personal training, they began offering combat classes to actors, stunt performers and other entertainment professionals.
