About the event
Combat Certification Intensive (Jun. 8th-19th, 2026) This professional development opportunity will investigate various principles in stage combat and martial arts in an intensive format and includes certification in two weapons disciplines with the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD), if desired.
Daily Schedule
10am - 1pm: Morning Weapons Session (Unarmed or Quarterstaff)*
1pm-2:30pm: Lunch
2:30pm - 5:30pm: Afternoon Weapons Session (Single Sword or Smallsword)*

Both the Combat Certification Intensive (CCI) and Film Fighting Intensive (FFI) are hosted on the campus of the Frederick Gunn School in Washington, CT. Housing options include dormitory style rooms with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and window A/C unit. Linens are provided. Please select either single occupancy (live alone) housing or double occupancy (shared room) housing below. Please note all the rooms share communal bathrooms with individual stalls for both showers and toilets.
